We recently told you the exciting news that we had opened a new Cancer Support Hub at Spire Specialist Care Centre in Great Baddow. Since then, our Centres Development Manager Pat Hume, has secured us a brand new Cancer Support Centre in Southend, as well as two new Support Hubs in Braintree and Springfield.
The Southend Cancer Support Centre, located at St Luke’s Community Centre and Church, opens this month and will be working in association with Southend Hospital’s MacMillan Information and Support Centre, offering complementary therapies, counselling and group workshops. The centre will initially be open every Tuesday and Thursday. Pat Hume comments: “We are delighted to be opening the new cancer support centre in partnership with Southend Hospital’s Macmillan Information and Support Centre. As a charity, one of our major objectives is to increase our presence in the Southend Region and we are also looking for premises in the town to open an HRCC charity shop.”
Our two new hubs, one based at Braintree Community Hospital and another at GenesisCare Hospital in Springfield, will enable us to further extend our services to more clients and both locations offer comfortable and relaxing facilities. Our Braintree Cancer Support Hub is open three out of four Saturdays from 9.00am – 1.00pm and our Springfield Cancer Support Hub is open on Tuesdays from 1.00pm – 5.00pm and on Thursdays from 9.00am – 5.00pm.
Bookings for our new centre and hubs can be made by calling 01245 380 719 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
