Volunteer Opportunities at our Rochelle House Cancer Support Centre

We are looking for new volunteer hosts to work in our Rochelle House Cancer Support Centre. The following shifts are currently vacant:

  • Monday afternoons
  • Tuesday afternoons
  • Wednesday mornings & afternoons
  • Thursday mornings & afternoons
  • Friday afternoons

In all of our HRCC Cancer Support Centres, volunteers play a vital role in supporting our clients and their families. Our aim is to provide a high standard of care in a pleasant and restful environment, none of which would be possible without the time and skills given generously by volunteers.  A range of tasks are essential for the smooth running of the centre, whether spending time listening to a distressed client or ensuring that the centre is clean and welcoming, your contribution is vital to the clients well-being. For this reason it is envisaged that each volunteer will be appointed to undertake the full range of tasks.  We all do whatever is necessary at the time, be it welcoming a client or putting fresh linen on a treatment room couch, comforting a relative, making tea and washing up, photocopying forms or making an appointment for a client.

If you are interested in applying for a volunteer role please contact Pat Hume or Lorna Ellis on 01245 463 633 or email rochelle@helenrollason.org.uk
