Helen Rollason was a much-loved BBC Sport presenter who fought her battle with colon cancer in the public eye. Helen was the first woman to present BBC’s Grandstand and fronted the children’s programme, Newsround for three years.

In 1999, Helen gave her name and image to help attract international support and the Helen Rollason Cancer Charity was founded, spearheaded by her oncologist Professor Neville Davidson.
