Thank you to everyone who came along to the Helen Rollason Cancer Charity’s Vintage Fayre on 24 July. We had about 3,000 visitors and the event raised over £17,000 for the charity.
Now in its second year, this fun family event was a real treat for vintage fans. The crowds enjoyed the sunshine as they admired a display of classic vehicles and shopped at the jewellery, clothes and flower stalls.
The Kingsmen rock and roll band entertained the crowd with some classic hits and the A2 Jive Dancers gave a dazzling display of fancy footwork. Other highlights included archery, a display of owls, morris dancing, face painting, an amazing variety of food, antiques and donkey rides!
Thank you to our sponsors, Barratt Homes, and to BBC Essex for supporting the event.
We are also very grateful to all of the Helen Rollason volunteers whose enthusiasm and support helped to make the day such a big success.
