Helen Rollason Cancer Charity Looking For A New Home in Bishop’s Stortford

The Helen Rollason Cancer Charity have been supporting people and their families who have been diagnosed with cancer in the Bishop’s Stortford area for 10 years. Originally based in the Rivers Hospital, in 2017 we moved to the Herts & Essex Community Hospital as we needed more space. As Herts & Essex now expands its own services, we now need to move on again.

And so, we are urgently seeking a new home. If anyone can suggest possible suitable venues that we could use, we would ask you to get in touch as soon as possible. Ideally, we are looking for a local building that can offer us 4-5 rooms on a daily basis from Monday to Friday, with parking or easy access to parking nearby.

Pat Hume

Pat Hume – Development Manager for the charity said “We currently offer support to over 150 people in the local community and as a reflection of the increase in cancer diagnosis today, the demand on our services is ever increasing. We support people through offering free counselling, holistic treatments, Pilates and Support Groups.

Our ideal venue would be a stand-alone building that we could move into and make our own, allowing us to continue to offer this valuable service to those with cancer and their families. There are lots of venues out there, but as we are a self-funding charity, we have to be mindful of rent and associated costs.”

If you can help this valuable service to continue supporting those in this area with cancer, please contact Pat by emailing her on pat.hume@helenrollason.org.uk or 01245 380719.
