We are thanking our superb Volunteers who have been able to continue supporting us from home during lockdown.
Three fabulous ladies have continued to work on our eBay shop from home, listing items to sell and raising vital funds for Helen Rollason Cancer Charity. A huge thank you to Karen Rowan, Tania Smith and Jenny Leach. In the last four months, Jenny’s listings alone have raised over £800!
Thank you to Shane Higgins who has continued to volunteer from home using musicMagpie (a system which allows us to send DVDs and CDs to a company in exchange for donations) Since lockdown, he has scanned over 10,000 discs and raised approx. £2,000 from selling on his own Facebook page.
In 2020, our Volunteer counsellors provided almost 1,000 hours of counselling to support people living with cancer. They have helped hundreds of our clients deal with emotions which sometimes they may not want to share with friends and family. “The help I received was paramount to my recovery; I have nothing but praise for all”. 💙
A massive thank you to Vicki Butcher who has continued to support the charity by managing our Instagram page with regular updates, news, events and increased our following enormously since she took over the running of the account. Vicki is also part of the team behind the scenes organising our Vintage Day Out taking place on Sunday 27th June 2021.
