Treemendous Christmas Lights help to raise thousands for HRCC!

Visitors were left feeling merry and bright by two selfless fundraisers during the festive period raising vital funds for Helen Rollason Cancer Charity.

Frank Petchey of Nayland Road, Braintree, has been lighting up his street for the past six years and this year has raised a fantastic £550!

Official HRCC elf Molly Watson paid Frank a visit in December to thank him for his continued support of the charity – community spirit at its best!

Meanwhile in Hatfield Peverel, friend of the charity Tony Rymill held an incredible Christmas display over the festive period raising £1,526.94 for HRCC! He has also kindly donated his famous Santa Sleigh to the charity for them to use at future fundraising events.

Suzanne Watson, Community Fundraiser for Helen Rollason Cancer Charity said; “What an amazing sight the lights have been this year! We are so grateful to both Tony and Frank for spreading their Christmas cheer to raise funds for Helen Rollason Cancer Charity.

Their donations will help us to continue supporting men and women with all types of cancer at all stages – whether newly diagnosed or longer-term, throughout treatment and after treatment is completed.

Providing support for cancer patients’ emotional well-being alongside their medical treatment continues to be at the core of the charity’s mission.”
