We are pleased to announce that we have a rescheduled date for Ride for Helen – Sunday 20th September 2020.
*RIDE FOR HELEN UPDATE THURSDAY 10TH SEPTEMBER – EVENT IS STILL GOING AHEAD*
Message from our Fundraising Team; I can confirm that the event will be proceeding as planned. Prior to the Government announcement yesterday, the social gathering numbers were 30 and will be 6 from Monday which in effect is the only change.
Ride for Helen is not deemed a social gathering as such and on checking the guidelines sporting and organised events with CV19 measures in place are exempt from the 6 persons policy.
We are taking a number of measures to ensure the event is planned with lots of social distancing measures in place which include limiting the numbers for the event, staggered start times for each distance, signage, channels to keep those attending separate and setting riders off in line with British Cycling guidelines.
We completely understand that some of our supporters will be anxious but I hope this reassures you that the event will be managed taking into account the CV19 guidelines.
Ride for Helen promises to be one of the region’s biggest and best cycling events in 2020 for Helen Rollason Cancer Charity!
Cyclists from across the county will be meeting at the Crix in Hatfield Peverel, Essex to take part in this fantastic, family-friendly event which offers a choice of cycling routes to suit all capabilities.
If cycling isn’t your thing but you’d still like to get involved, why not volunteer on the day? We have lots of fun and exciting roles for you to get stuck into – call us on 01245 380719 for more information.
