HRCC sky high!

In mid September our Head Office neighbours, Allwag Promotions Ltd, organised a fundraiser for HRCC that took the charity to new heights.

The company launched 2,000 colourful balloons in the skies above Hatfield Peverel in a balloon race to celebrate Promotional Products Week and in turn raise funds for us.

For any customers that had placed an order in the last year a branded, numbered balloon was sent off in their name. If the balloon was found, both the customer and the finder’s name were entered into a prize draw to win a Virgin Champagne Balloon Ride for two, £5.00 was also then donated to the Charity. Customers could also pledge by sending up extra balloons by donating £1.00 per balloon.

The balloons travelled as far as North Norfolk, and HRCC Fundraising Manager, Kate Alden, picked the lucky winner – Julie Barrett – out of the hat, who was delighted with her prize. So far the venture has raised £405.

Angela Wagstaff from Allwag Promotions highlighted why the company are keen to support HRCC: “Allwag Promotions throroughly enjoy fundraising for our local Charity, Helen Rollason Cancer Charity. Over the past three years we have organised events to raise much needed funds from Curry Lunch to this Balloon Race, as well as taking part in the Charity’s organised events such as Ride for Helen and Vintage Fayre. It really brings our team together to feel like you are doing something worthwhile whilst having fun.”

A big thank you to Allwag Promotions for their imaginative fundraising idea, and their continued support of HRCC –  www.allwag.co.uk
