London Marathon runners raise over £63 thousand for Helen Rollason Cancer Charity.

The 42nd TCS London Marathon took place on Sunday 2nd October 2022. Helen Rollason Cancer Charity had many fantastic fundraisers running the world-famous 26.2 mile route, raising over £63,000 for the charity!

Team Helen completed the gruelling route from Greenwich to The Mall in and all have done an incredible job raising vital funds for the charity; all monies raised will go towards supporting people living with cancer.

Helen Rollason Cancer Charity provides support services across Essex; these services include complementary therapies, counselling and access to a range of support groups.  There is no charge for the services we provide but for those who receive them they are invaluable:

HRCC helped me when I was at my lowest point ever. I was so confused and so scared. The therapists helped me with calm words, sensible advice, reassurance and wonderful holistic treatments. The counsellor helped me to make sense of the world again after my treatment and explore ways to heal. Your love, care and support was invaluable. I cannot ever thank you enough.”

Huge congratulations to our amazing runners! We want to say thank you to everyone who took part; we appreciate the time and effort it takes to train and fundraise for a marathon. We extend our thanks to everybody who supported the Team with their donations, in the current economic climate this is a phenomenal amount and will enable us to provide 1,200 treatments to local people living with cancer.

If you would like to be running in the streets of Lonson and would like apply to be part of Team Helen 2023 then please contact the Fundraising Team on 01245 380719 or email fundraising@helenrollason.org.uk
