Christmas cheer for all the family at Helen Rollason Cancer Charity
Christmas Gift & Food Fair!

Families and friends gathered at Chelmsford City Racecourse on Saturday 26th November for the Helen Rollason Cancer Charity Christmas Gift & Food Fair raising over £15,000 for the charity.

Funds raised will enable the charity to continue providing vital support to those living with cancer within the local community, there is no charge for our services but to our clients they are invaluable.

The Fair is one of the region’s biggest and best Christmas shopping events in Essex, showcasing over 100 small local businesses. There was an exciting variety of high-quality unique gifts giving a Not on The High Street feeling.

Alongside the shopping stalls, there were a range of popular and delicious caterers, serving hot food and festive drinks. Many visitors enjoyed a tasty hot chocolate with all the trimmings!

Gemma Woodhurst, Community Fundraiser for Helen Rollason Cancer Charity said: “Wow, what an incredible event! We were so pleased to welcome so many visitors! We have received wonderful comments and feedback and we are so proud to host one of the biggest Christmas events in the area.

The cost-of-living crisis is affecting everyone, it was heart warming to see that so many still do what they can to support their local charity. We need to raise almost £900,000 a year to provide our services so this event has helped us achieve that considerably, thank you to every visitor, stall holder and volunteer during the event, we couldn’t do it without you.”

And keeping with the Christmas spirit, Helen Rollason Cancer Charity is hosting their first Christmas Tree Recycling Campaign, take the hard work out of disposing of your real tree, let us do it all for you! To register please follow: Register Tree (just-helping.org.uk)
