Helen Rollason Cancer Charity receives £4,320 grant from Morrisons Foundation

Helen Rollason Cancer Charity is delighted to announce we have received a grant of £4,320 from The Morrisons Foundation. This donation will fund the vital support of people living with cancer, and specifically our Mindfulness Sessions to aid the recovery of the body and mind post cancer treatment.

Helen Rollason Cancer Charity enables quality of life to men and women at all stages of cancer – diagnosis, during treatment and once medical treatment is completed. We appreciate that a cancer diagnosis will also affect those closest to the client and we therefore offer support to them too. The work we do really does make a difference;

“The counsellor has given me back my joy for life. She has taught me how to deal with my own concerns using methods enabling me to deal with fear and worries as they come along. I have hope again and even look to the future with plans that I had long shelved. Cancer will be here long after Covid-19. Please help to ensure HRCC is still here too”.

“Would have been lost without you this last year and your continued support. Thank you for all you do”.

“The help I received was paramount to my recovery. I have nothing but praise for all”.

Helen Rollason Cancer Charity Community Fundraiser Karen Mitchell said; “We are really grateful to the Morrisons Foundation for their support of Helen Rollason Cancer Charity. Their donation will help us to continue supporting men and women with all types of cancer at all stages – whether newly diagnosed or longer-term, throughout treatment and after treatment is completed.

Providing support for cancer patients’ emotional well-being alongside their medical treatment continues to be at the core of the charity’s mission.”

Adrian Horsley, Morrisons Foundation Advisor said; “Morrisons is committed to helping the most vulnerable in our society. We know that the coronavirus outbreak presents a particular risk to people already diagnosed with underlying health issues.  I’m delighted that the Morrisons Foundation has been able to help fund Helen Rollason Cancer Charity’s vital work in the community to continue to provide care to those who need it most.”
